Artist Statement:
My works take root from conceptual ideas based upon the issues of gender, identity, and sexuality within modern societal and cultural norms. I use my art as a platform to help educate the uninformed, combat against negative and 'conservative' attitude, and to assure the lonely that they are not alone. I mostly use tangible mediums such as ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media to display my concepts in physical form. My works involve using the human figure or color to portray my concepts, which often raise arms against negative stereotypes and narrow minded behaviors.
